Two Westmeath organisations have won ten thousand euro each at this years National Lottery Good Causes Awards.

Mullingar Handball Club won the Sport category for their role in supporting both professional athletes and the wider community through their Age Active and All Stars programmes.
While Helium Arts a charity also based in Mullingar took home the top prize-for using creativity to empower young people living with lifelong health conditions in the Arts and Culture catagory.
This years award ceremony took place in the Killashee House Hotel in County Kildare.
