Ukrainian Refugees' Modular Homes Delayed

Opposition from local communities and protests have been blamed for some of the delays.

The Integration Minister says 300 of the 700 modular units earmarked for Ukrainian refugees will be delivered by late May.

Roderic O'Gorman blamed the 'geography' of the sites for the six-month delay.

According to the Irish Examiner, the plans for the homes were delayed in some areas due to opposition from local communities and protests.

42 homes are due to be erected in Rathdowney.
