The Midland Regional Hospital is currently caring for an increasing number of patients with influenza.
Visiting restrictions are in place for two areas in the Midland Regional Hospital Tullamore this morning.
Management is asking members of the public not to visit the Emergency Department or Medical 3 Ward - unless absolutely necessary.
It's also emphasising you should not visit the hospital if they are experiencing any flu-like symptoms.
The hospital is currently caring for an increasing number of patients with influenza and flu-like symptoms, and has taken a decision to close one medical ward, to prevent further spread of the noro-virus.
