Councillor Mick Dollard feels more pieces could show off the history of Mullingar.

A Westmeath councillor is demanding for more public art sculptures to be set up in his town.

Independent councillor Mick Dollard is pointing to the success of the Joe Dolan statue in Mullingar's Market Square in attracting tourism.

He feels a piece set up to commemorate the rich history of Columb Barracks or the history of St.Loman's hospital are just some of the projects that could be installed
