James Crombie's work is being praised for the "great technical and artistic skill" in his work.
The Rahugh man also finished second in the Sports Action category, won second and third for best Sports Feature, and placed third in the best Portrait competition.
Mr. Crombie, best known for his work on starling murmurations, is now a three time winner of Press Photographer of the Year, and was the unanimous choice of the judges for the award.
