Planning permission has been sought for the project.
A pub and petrol station are to make way for a new housing development in Westmeath.
Planning permission has been sought for the project in Clonmellon - which would include a three-storey block of five apartments, six three-storey terraced town houses, five two-storey terraced town houses, a commercial unit, and a community/pre-school facility.
The application, by Anthony Kelly, involves demolishing the existing buildings, and also includes plans for street enhancement.
A decision is due from Westmeath County Council on 15th October.
