Mullingar's Jane Swarbrigg has returned from New York, after an operation to have a special pump surgically inserted into her body, to deliver chemotherapy directly to her liver.
She'll have to keep flying over to the US to continue treatment.
A charity concert is being held by Smokie at the Mullingar Park Hotel in December to raise funds for the costs.
