An orange warning will be in place for 11 counties.
A Status Yellow wind warning is being issued for 15 counties including Laois, Offaly and Westmeath for next Monday.
Met Eireann is also issuing a Status Orange wind warning for Donegal, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo, Sligo, Wexford, Clare, Cork, Kerry, Limerick and Waterford.
The national forecaster says as Storm Brendan tracks to the northwest of Ireland, southerly winds veering southwesterly will reach mean speeds of 65 to 80 km/h with gusts of 110 to 130 km/h, which will be highest in coastal areas.
The warning will be place from 7am until midnight on Monday.
