Average wait time for gynaecology services at Portlaoise Regional Hospital is 366 days.
In Mullingar, the average wait time is 179 days.
Responding to a parliamentary question from Longford-Westmeath Sinn Féin TD Sorca Clarke, the Health Minister confirmed 1,386 women and girls are waiting for an outpatient gynaecology appointment at Portlaoise Regional Hospital, with 1,298 in Mullingar Hospital. The figures date from 27th January 2022.
There are no gynae waiting lists at Tullamore Regional Hospital.
The Irish Hospital Consultants' Association is today warning that mounting delays are leading to "a perfect storm".
