It is expected to return in the coming hours.
Water supply is expected to be restored to parts of Laois in the coming hours, following an outage.
Irish Water issued a conservation notice yesterday afternoon for Mountmellick and the surrounding areas after a pump broke down at a local reservoir.
Emergency repair works have been completed but the utility is advising customers could still experience low water pressure and outages until 10am this morning.
Commenting on the emergency works, John Gavin, Irish Water said,
“Irish Water understands the inconvenience when an interruption to supply occurs and thanks customers for their patience while we work to replace the pump at the borehole and restore normal supply to impacted customers as quickly and as safely as possible.”
