Paul Doolin is officially stepping down as manager.
Athlone Town are on the look out for a new manager.
The club has confirmed Paul Doolin has opted not to continue on as men's senior first team boss.
He agreed to come on board as manager for the final eight games of this year's League of Ireland First Division season, following Adrian Carberry's departure.
The former Premier Division winning manager with Drogheda had been out of the dugout since a period in charge of Ireland's U-19 squad in 2016.
However, the former informed the club that he feels unable to continue due to work and family commitments.
