The club is spending up to €45,000 a season to rent facilities.
A campaign to find a much needed permanent home for the Portlaoise Panthers is gathering pace.
The club was founded in 1965 and despite developing a strong presence on the court and in the community, they're still spending up to €45,000 a season renting facilities.
In the face of their nomadic existence, the club was still named Basketball Ireland's Club of the Year in 2020.
They currently cater for 400 players across 35 teams from underage to adult.
A new six-person committee has been set up to achieve their goal of creating the Laois Basketball Arena, while an online petition on their website has seen hundreds of comments, detailing support from the local community.
