Last gasp goal sees off Letterkenny IT
Carlow IT made history last night as they reached their first ever Sigerson Cup final after a dramatic 2-9 to 1-9 win against Letterkenny IT at Iniskeen Co Monaghan.
But a goal from Kildare's Adam Steed in the last seconds of the game saw Pat Critchley's side into the decider.
Laois man Evan Lowry scored a goal early on to give the Carlow side the edge but when Letterkenny got a late goal it looked like it would take extra time to seperate the sides until Steed's fisted goal at the end of the game.
Offaly's Cian Farrell scored four points for Carlow who will meet DCU in the final after they easily overcame UCD in the other semi-final by 1-15 to 0-3
