Cormac Izuchukwu Named In Irish Starting XV For Italy Clash

Andy Farrell has made six changes from the defeat away to France.

Ireland Head coach Andy Farrell has named his team for the Six Nations clash with Italy this weekend.

After the opening defeat to France, six changes have been made, including a start for Offaly's Cormac Izuchukwu at flanker. 

Ulster's Rob Baloucoune replaces Tommy O'Brien, while captain Caelan Doris starts at 7 with Jack Conan also given a start. 

James Lowe has been recalled and comes in for Jacob Stockdale and Munster's Craig Casey is selected at scrum-half with Jamison Gibson-Park on the bench.

James Ryan will partner Joe McCarthy in the second row.

Tadhg Beirne starts on the bench.

Leinster's Sam Prendergast retains his position at out-half, as does Athy's Jeremy Loughman, who starts for the second game in a row. 

Italy come to Aviva Stadium looking for back to back wins after beating Scotland in Rome.
