Alex Dunne was central to one of the most dramatic F3 weekends in recent memory.
Offaly's Alex Dunne endured a weekend to forget at Silverstone after missing out on points, and picking up a ten place grid penalty for the next round.
The Clonbullogue racer looked to have the pace to qualify his MP Motorsport car high up the grid but failed to re-emerge from his garage during qualifying after initially posting the second fastest time.
That left the McLaren junior driver 14th on the grid.
His ambitions in Saturday's sprint race were ended when he found himself squeezed on to the grass by Charlie Wurz, causing a collision.
It started with a brilliant move into Stowe! 🤩

Sunday's Feature Race did not go any better.
Dunne was collected by a crash initiated by a Joshua Dufek spin at the exit of Stowe corner.

He was then hit with a ten place grid penalty for the next race for rejoining the track unsafely which led to a crash between Sophia Floersch and Dino Beganovic.
