The Garrycastle half back has been a long-time servant of Westmeath football.
Westmeath's stalwart half back, james Dolan has announced he's to retire from inter-county football.
The Garrycastle man played a remarkable 13 years for the Lake County, making just under 140 appearances in the famous maroon jersey.
Dolan was a crucial part of the Westmeath sides that made consecutive Leinster finals in 2015 and 2016.
His last outing came against Mickey Harte's Derry.
Despite pointing for his team, the Ulster side were four points better on Saturday, bringing an end to Dolan's time in the Westmeath shirt.
All eyes will now turn to the likes of John Heslin and Kieran Martin who are expected to be considering making a similar decision.
