"Hard Work" Is The Walsh Cup Objective For Laois

O'Moore county win their first game under new manager Willie Maher.

Working hard was Laois' basic aim heading into their Walsh Cup opener against Wexford yesterday afternoon.

Willie Maher says he wanted to see his side's menatlity in the right place for their first intercounty game of the year.

The O'Moore county ran out two point winners over Wexford, the final score was 0-20 to 0-18.

Maher says he's happy to have picked up a win regardless of what stage in the season it is.
