It comes ahead of the beginning of the National Leagues.
Martin Walsh will manage the Laois camogie team in 2022, after being unveiled as John Desmond's successor.
It's understood to be a one year term but with the strong possibility of that being extended, if it suits both parties.
There was a bit of a return to earth for camogie in the O'Moore county last year. The resumption of that status quo of the championship and second string teams from the likes of Kilkenny, Tipperary and Galway dominated once again, meaning that Laois failed to emerge from their group, having reached the last four stage the previous season.
There is plenty of optimism around the small ball game in Laois though after a successful two year stint under Desmond, who left with his head high after doing a decent job.
There's plenty of action on the pitch in the coming months.
The National League is on the horizon, but Walsh will have a chance to take in some of the best teams in Laois during the Leinster provincial series, which gets underway in the next couple of weeks..
