Katie Donoghue was one of five given the award for her sporting achievements yesterday.
Katie Donoghue received a Bronze Sports Scholarship in the Annual Elite Sports Scholarship Scheme in MARY Immaculate College yesterday.
The Midlands representative was one of five who were given the award, the prize being worth €1,000.
Donohue was recognised for her sporting feats, an incredible achievement for the Timahoe player.
She made her senior debut for the O'Moore county last year, scoring 2-1 against in the All-Ireland series.
She also captained the Laois under 16 'B' team to provincial glory in 2021, and was given the armband for her schools senior team.
