Westmeath are missing out on crucial results in Division Two of the football league because of their tendency to miss the "last pass", according to their manager, Dermot McCabe.
The Lake County suffered a second consecutive defeat since promotion after they surrendered an early lead against Monaghan to lose by an eventual 8 points.
The final score in Clones was 2-29 to 2-21.
