Offaly's intermediate champions found themselves outmatched by Tullogher Rosbercon of Kilkenny in Tullamore.
Tullogher started as strong favourites for the game and got off to a dream start with Walter Walsh tearing through the Carrig defence to smash the first goal in within 40 seconds.
Paul Murphy's men battled to a three point deficit at half-time, only to see that mushroom to a final score of 2-14 to 0-8 at full time.
