Shane Lowry will tee off in one of the featured groups later this evening.
Shane Lowry's first round at the PGA Championship will be primetime viewing tonight.
The Clara man tees off at the second major of the year shortly after 7pm Irish time, alongside Brooks Koepka and Adam Scott.
A good short game is expected to be a key asset this week at Southern Hills in Oklahoma, which hosts the PGA Championship for the first time since 2007.
Lowry is hopeful he'll be in the hunt this week:
Rory McIlroy is in another marquee group alongside Tiger Woods and Jordan Spieth.
They tee off shortly after 2pm Irish time.
Padraig Harrington and Seamus Power are also in the field.
Bryson DeChambeau has pulled out of the tournament due to a wrist injury.
