Two Tullamore players in line for debuts in first Summer tour game.
The midlands has four representatives named in the Ireland women's team for the first test of their Summer tour.
Tullamore RFC back, Aoife Dalton will make her international debut at outside centre against Japan, while clubmate Leah Tarpey makes her test bow from the bench on Saturday.
Captaining the side and winning her 28th senior cap, Kilcormac's Nicola Fryday will start in the second row while former Tullamore RFC scrum half Ailsa Hughes starts as well.
Having missed out on qualification for the upcoming World Cup, Exeter lock Fryday says touring Japan has been worthwhile:
Speaking ahead of the game, head coach Greg McWilliams said:
“Our extended squad of 51 players have worked incredibly hard all summer and we have got through a really pleasing body of work since arriving in Japan last Friday. The players have adapted brilliantly to difficult conditions and it has been a good week of preparation for us.
