Offaly Prepped For Galway Walsh Cup Semi

The Faithful County will be hurling in Division 1A in the coming weeks.

A place in the final of the Walsh Cup is on the line for Offaly this weekend. 

Johnny Kelly's side travel to Galway, hoping to secure a first win of the season. 

The Faithful side are set to be compete in Division 1A of the league, before they begin their Leinster Championship at home to Dublin in April. 

Midlands 103 commentator Brian Gavin says he's hopeful that Offaly can be competitive this season:

Dublin are through to the semi-finals of hurling's Walsh Cup, where they'll play Westmeath on Sunday. 

Cian O'Sullivan scored six-points and Joe Flanagan and Ollie Gaffney hit the net in a 2-17 to 1-11 victory at Wexford last night. 

Two goals from James Keyes helped Laois to overcome Carlow by 3-14 to 2-12 in the quarter-finals of the Shield competition.
