Offaly face Louth in the opening round of the league.
Offaly Joint Manager Declan Kelly says his side will be seen as underdogs in Division 2.
The Faithful side begin life in Division 2 at home to Leinster Champions Louth on January 25th.
They will have the benefit of having more home than away games, with four games being played in O'Connor Park.
