The biggest race in Irish cycling will roll out from Portlaoise in May.
The midlands is set to play a big role in the 2026 renewal of the Rás Tailteann.
The biggest stage race in Ireland will role out from Portlaoise on Wednesday May 20th, with riders racing through Abbeyleix, Ballacolla, Rathdowney and Errill and then on to finish in Kilmallock in Limerick.
The peleton will then take on six catagorised climbs from Cork to Kerry on stage two, while stage three, Mitchelstown to Enniscorthy in Wexford will be mostly flat.
Stage four is a bumpy 141km from Carlow Town to Baltinglass in Wicklow, before a fast final stage that ends with three laps of a 15km circuit in Dunboyne, Meath.
