Dario Castelo talks to Midlands 103 after watching his side make the ideal start to the season.
Athlone Town can face in to the first stages of the League of Ireland season with confidence, according to their manager Dario Castelo.
The midlanders enjoyed a resounding 3-0 win in their Division One opener at home to Wexford on Friday night.
Noah van Geenan opened the scoring after just 14 minutes, Jamal Ibrahim then doubled Athlone's lead after 8 minutes later, while Amardo Oakley made it 3-0, and three points for Dario Castelo's side when he struck in the 37th.
An emphatic win for Midlanders Athlone Town in their opening clash of the season against Wexford.
