The O'Moore County proved too strong for Westmeath in the Joe McDonagh Cup.
Laois Hurling Manager Tommy Fitzgerald says he was happy with the result after his side got the better of midlands neighbours Westmeath in the first round of the Joe McDonagh Cup on Saturday.
The O'Moore County ran out 3-25 to 1-22 winners at O'Moore Park with Tomas Keyes, Ben Conroy and Cha Dwyer scoring the goals for the home side.
However despite the result the Portlaoise man says their is plenty to work on.
Next up for Laois is a visit to Ballycran to face Down on Saturday.
