Images of Pat Smullen are also a part of the yearly fundraiser.
It's been a phenomenal year for Athlone jockey Rory Cleary.
The 33-year-old landed his first classic aboard Mac Swiney for Jim Bolger in the Irish 2,000 Guineas in May but that accolade has now landed him an honour of a different kind.
Recently nominated at the HRI annual awards, Cleary will also feature as the poster-boy for the month of May on the annual calendar released as a fundraiser for the injured jockeys fund.
There's another midlands connection as Rhode's Pat Smullen is also given the feature position in the month of September, marking two years since his passing.
The 2022 calendar costs €15 and is available to purchase online at here. .
Ruby Walsh, Irish Injured Jockeys Chairman, noted:
“It is hard to believe that Christmas is only a few weeks away – a special time to spend with family, friends and, also an important time to recognise and thank business partners, suppliers and work colleagues. So, we hope our cards and calendars can be of some help personally and professionally this Christmas.
“By purchasing our striking Christmas cards and calendar, you are supporting the work of the Irish Injured jockeys as we continue to make a real difference to the lives and welfare of jockeys, past and present and their families by raising funds to provide enhanced help, care and support.
“I’d like to give special thanks to Peter Curling and all the racing photographers who shared their creativity and talent with us so generously. In addition, we greatly appreciate the support of our retail partners – TRI Equestrian Superstores and Berney Brothers Saddlery.”
