From Galway to Antrim, Westmeath have improved as the season has developed.
Westmeath are heading to Dublin this weekend for the conclusion of the National Hurling League campaign.
The Lake County looked in trouble at the start of the season, going down by 31 points away to Galway.
They're now looking for back to back wins after securing the first victory of the year against Antrim last week.
Prior to that win, Joe Fortune's side were impressive in losses to Limerick and Tipperary.
Midlands 103 Analyst Gerry Buckley says with little to gain or lose in the league now, a trip to Dublin should serve to prep the squad for championship action.
He begins his preview of the game by reflecting on an unpromising day out West for the first round.
The game gets underway at Parnell Park at 3pm tomorrow in Parnell Park.
