A number of Kelly's under 20 All Ireland winning team have been brought in to the senior starting 15 since his ascension to the senior team himself.
A difficult league campaign saw Offaly narrowly avoid relegation from Division Three, while victory over Laois has earned them the dubious reward of a provincial semi-final against Dublin.
