The Tanaiste has replied to their letter.
The Tanaiste has told a group of fourth class pupils that trick or treating can go ahead, once they wash their hands and social distance.
The pupils wrote to Leo Varadkar with their query about Halloween, and received a note in return.
The Tanaiste was asked if he would be dressing up for Halloween, and he told them he hasn't decided on a costume yet as things have been very busy lately.
The letter has been shared on Twitter by their teacher.
Thank you @LeoVaradkar for taking the time out to respond to the very legitimate queries regarding Halloween from my amazing superstars in 4th Class!!! They were DELIGHTED to receive post addressed to them from @merrionstreet !!! 🥰 #HappyHalloween 🎃 🧙♀️ 👻 pic.twitter.com/Pn9j5M6Egq
