Wedding Rings Are One Of The Most Common Losses On The Beach

A third of people say they have mislaid things in the sand or water. 

An engagement ring eaten by a fish is among insurance claims for items lost on the beach. 

Wedding rings, watches and hearing aids are the most common items to go missing there, according to insurer Aviva. 

It says the average claim for damaged property on a seaside trip is just over €1,000 - while a third of us say we've mislaid things in the sand or water.
