Sky's new thriller will star the local actress.
A Westmeath actress has landed a leading role in a new thriller series.
Mullingar's Niamh Algar will embody the role of Iris Nixon in Sky's new show, Iris, alongside Tom Hollander.
The thriller follows the story of Ms. Algar's character, described as a 'ruthless genius,' who steals a code from Mr. Hollander's Cameron McIntyre, a charming philanthropist.
The series is created by Luther's Neil Cross.
In a post on social media, Ms. Algar says she's 'over the moon' to be able to talk about the project, and be in 'such incredible company.'
