The number of children homeless in Ireland has passed 3,000 for the first time in over two years.
There's been a 10% increase in the number of homeless people in the midlands in the space of a month.
91 people were in emergency accommodation across the region last month, up from 83 in April.
39 adults were in emergency accommodation in Westmeath in May, 35 in Offaly, and 17 in Laois.
26 families and 46 children were also recorded as homeless, according to the latest report from the Department of Housing.
Nationally, the number of children in emergency accommodation has passed 3,000 for the first time in over two years.
The total number of people homeless in Ireland has increase by 3% to 10,325.
The figure doesn't include refugees, asylum-seekers, rough sleepers or women in refuge centres.
