14% Drop In PUP Recipients In The Midlands In The Last Month

Just over 17,000 people received the income support in the midlands today.

The number of Pandemic Unemployment Payment recipients in the midlands is down 14 per cent on this day last month.

Just over 17,000 people received the income support today, with 466 people closing their claim in the last week to return to work.

Westmeath continues to be the worst affected by unemployment in the region, followed by Laois and then Offaly.

Nationally, €112 million was paid out to over 376,000 PUP recipients today.
