655 people are waiting for beds in Irish hospitals today.
500 patients are on trolleys in emergency departments, with the remainder waiting in wards.
There are 14 people waiting on beds in midlands hospitals, 10 of whom are in Mullingar, and four in Portlaoise.
University Hospital Limerick has recorded its highest number so far this year, with 109 patients left waiting.
The other worst-affected are Cork, Galway and Letterkenny University Hospitals, and the Mater in Dublin.
