503 Fines Handed Out For Breaches Of Travel Restrictions In The Midlands

A total of 820 people have received penalties while travelling to airports or ports.

503 fines have been handed for breaches of the covid travel restrictions in the midlands.

351 have been issued for non-essential travel in Laois and Offaly during the pandemic, and 152 in Wesmeath.

9,021 in total have been handed out around Ireland, since they were introduced by gardaí.

820 people have received penalties while travelling to airports or ports.

370 people have been fined 500-euro for organising a house party, while over 1-thousand fines have been issued for attending a party.
