In Laois, 8% of homes have an A rating, for a total of 1,303.
That figure is 7% in Offaly - the number of homes with the highest BER score is 981.
Westmeath holds the lowest number of A rated homes in the midlands - 949 have achieved that score, which is 5% of the total number of houses in the county.
