60 new jobs are being created in the midlands by Home Instead.

The homecare services provider is looking to hire people in both rural and urban settings across Laois, Offaly and Westmeath.

It's part of 1,000 new jobs nationally announced by company this morning.

The company provides non-medical homecare support to 7,000 older people across Ireland.

Chief Operating Officer Shane Jennings says there’s a growing demand for the service.
