The former Longford Westmeath TD is being laid to rest this afternoon.
A Fianna Fáil flag, a rugby jersey and a newspaper have been brought to the altar at the funeral of former midlands Minister, Mary O'Rourke.
Mourners gathered at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church in Coosan this afternoon to remember the former Longford Westmeath TD.
She passed away last week, at the age of 87.
She's being remembered as someone with a strong character, who worked tirelessly.
