Six shows across the midlands were set to benefit from the initiative.
Government funding to the tune of €600,000 aimed at helping agricultural shows will be available in 2021.
Six shows in the midlands were set to benefit from the Department of Rural and community development initiative.
Athlone, Clonaslee, Moate, Mullingar, Tullamore and the Midlands Connemara pony show will be able to access €5000 each next year if their show is re-scheduled.
The funding is now set to be held in a trust by the Irish Shows Association until it is deemed safe to start hosting events once again.
