Airbus And Air France Guilty Of Corporate Manslaughter Over 2009 Crash

A Midlands woman died in the incident.

A Paris appeals court has found Airbus and Air France guilty of corporate manslaughter over a 2009 plane crash in which a Midlands woman lost her life.

An A330 came down in the Atlantic in a storm, killing 228 people.

Three Irish women, including Roscrea's Aisling Butler, were among the victims of the crash.

The companies have been ordered to pay the maximum fine for corporate manslaughter, which is €225,000 each.
