Ancient Westmeath Landmark Could Be Waiting Years For UNESCO Status

It's on Ireland's updated Tentative List of potential candidates.

It could years before the Hill of Uisneach receives UNESCO World Heritage Site status.

The ancient Westmeath landmark has been included in Ireland's updated Tentative List of potential candidates.

The list has been selected by an Expert Advisory Group appointed by Heritage Minister Malcolm Noonan.

Minister Noonan says the evaluation process is quite long and doesn't expect UNESCO to make a final decision any time soon:
