A survey of a former mother and baby home has found new 'anomalies' below ground.

The results of the geo-physical survey of the Angel plot at Sean Ross Abbey in Roscrea will be sent to the Department of Children for examination.

A previous excavation of the site found the remains of over 40 babies, but it's unclear whether the latest scan has discovered human remains.

As it stands, 1,090 babies from the Abbey are unaccounted for
