It's after a horse and a pony died in separate incidents in Dublin over the past few days.

A pony attached to a sulky died when it hit a parked car in Cloverhill, while a horse passed away in Smithfield earlier this week.

It comes as a protest against animal cruelty takes place outside the Dáil this lunchtime.
