Aontú Calls Out Cut To State Allowance For Women Who Have Had Mastectomies

A medical card will no longer entitle women to two specialised bras after undergoing mastectomies.

A government cut to the allowance given to women who underwent mastectomies is having an immediate negative impact, according to Aontú.

They were originally entitled to two specialised bras and a swimming prosthesis each year under the medical card.

However, that has now been cut down to just one bra per person.
