The development is expected to create over 1,700 jobs.
Plans for €1 billion data centre in Westmeath have received a boost after the State's planning body rejected an appeal against the project.
An Comisiun Pleanala has ruled the appeal invalid for no acknowledgement of the local submission.
The development, which has been endorsed by Enterprise Minister and Longford-Westmeath TD Peter Burke, is expected to create over 1,700 jobs during its five-year construction phase.
The plans, tabled by Offaly's Red Admiral Limited, include six data centre units and a hybrid energy system combining solar power, fuel cells, and battery storage.
Approval was granted earlier this month subject to 32 conditions.
