Assisted Dying Issue Not One To Be "Rushed"

That's according to a midlands TD.

The discussion on assisted dying is 'not an issue that should be rushed.'

That's according to Longford Westmeath TD Sorca Clarke, speaking after the second public meeting of the Joint Committee on Assisted Dying.

It will be informed on constitutional and legal issues, ethical issues, international context, safeguards and unintended circumstances - after which the committee will submit a report, which is due in March.

But, the Sinn Féin rep says they're not trying to play the 'long ball:'
