The poor conditions of the tents in Athlone have been highlighted in recent weeks, with heat retention a particular concern.
The Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth have confirmed the refugees have been relocated to more suitable International Protection Accommodation.
The residents were moved in back in September, and have since labelled the conditions of the tents as 'degrading and intolerable.'
